Can u pls suggest few good child trust funds........?

We Answered:

Childrens Mutual is where I'll probably invest for my next baby. For the first I used Halifax which promptly got into financial trouble but to be honest I'd say they're all much of a muchness and I wouldn't worry about it too much. Having said that I personally would stick with a name you've heard of and not the Druids Society or whatever it's called!

For info to other answerers - in the UK we automatically get £250 from our government in the form of a voucher which has to be invested until the child is 18 (i.e. the parents cannot spend it!). The account can be added to over the years, the idea being at 18 the child has a few thousand to put towards Uni fees / house / car / travels / whatever they wish.

Lucky us eh? Well, we do have to put up with Mr Brown being in charge!
