Many people are profoundly helped by medications for mental illness while many are not.
Of course drug companies are going to expect a profit, just as they expect profits from the production of any other type of drug. This doesn't make them morally corrupt, if the drug companies didn't make any money from the production of their products they would be out of business. In the end, it is up to the consumer, his or her doctor and any caretaker responsible for him or her to see through the advertisements and decide on the most effective course of treatment for his or her mental illness.
