How do I get government funding so I can live on my own after high school and during college? We Answered:
FAFSA can help, but until you are in your 20's they go by your parents tax info, so if they make too much money, you don't get it. I recommend getting some roommates. You can usually post your own ad at the kiosks at the school.Tyrone Said:
I am doing a research paper for school and it is about government funding for NASA and space exploration.?We Answered:
If you put this question in the Astronomy group than you are talking to a convinced audience. In this group we all believe in space exploration as necessary and useful.Arguments against NASA and space exploration I've heard go like:
- NASA as a government agency has become too bureaucratic, resulting already in two Space Shuttle accidents
- Why space? We have enough problems to solve down here on Earth
- According to the Bible, life exists only on Earth, why spent money to look for something that doesn't exist?
- OK, I agree that fundamental research is useful. But why space research, wouldn't it be much better to spend that money on (insert favorite subject here) ?

Government Funds-Bail outs, Credit cards, School funding? We Answered:
There's no such thing. If you want government money for school, fill out your FAFSA and see how much of a Pell Grant you'll qualify for.
If you want government money to pay off your credit cards or mortgage, FORGET about it.

Would you be happy if the Federal Government took over your kids school? We Answered:
No, the federal should not be involved in public schools beyond what may be specified in the constitution. The Dept of Ed is just another example of the nanny state mentality, and over-reaching control by the federal govt.Charlotte Said:
How can I get government funding for an after-school program in New York City?We Answered:
Check your city and county websites for available funding. You will probably need to get a fiscal sponsor (a 501(c)3 organization) that will administer the grant money since you are not a nonprofit. You can also search for available grants at our website (free!) under "Youth Development" in New York. The database lists grants for nonprofit organizations, but maybe you'll get some ideas for what is out there.
