You learn almost exactly the same stuff as a private/non-government funded school would. I am a freshman in a public highschool and there are some requirements to graduate. I believe you have to have 1 credit in fine arts, another in like computer applications, a health class, a PE class. You also have to have 4 credits of Math, Science, History, and English. I might be wrong, But...I was watching Oprah and the schools in Waashington DC are not in the greatest conditions. Mabey it was just that school that was on the show, but I did read a book for my Foundations of Urban Education class and it was from the 90's but it also had a lot in there about the not so good schools in DC. But yea,Im pretty sure they will be going to a private school. Why would they risk their childrens saftey and quality of education to manke a statement?
