Wayne Said:

How do we get funding without a constitution?

We Answered:

Funders want those hoops -- they feel that if you can't jump through those hoops, you aren't going to be responsible with your accounting. Funders won't just take your word for it ("We're good people! Honest! Give us money!"). They want proper accounting, proper book-keeping, etc.

If you want to do work in your community, why don't you volunteer through an existing organization? If you want to have your own program, why don't you partner with an existing organization, so they can accept and administer donations to your effort?

Carrie Said:

how to get funding/land for community garden?

We Answered:

In our area these programs are handled by our County Parks department. Initially, they will say that they have no money to buy land. However, most Counties have funds that are earmarked for community capital projects so don't take "no" for an answer. Begin with the County commissioner in your area. Enlist the local media, if they will listen to you, to get the word out that you want to spearhead this project. You may find that Rotary, Lions, Soroptimists, or Kiwanis will help you. Try all of them. Perhaps you can even get the price down further if there is some open space/donation write-off the current own can make.

Kyle Said:

how can i ge funding for my community based organisation.?

We Answered:

I don't know where you live, but taking a grant writing course and applying for grants is a start. You will have to have specific goals and costs

Tony Said:

Is there any organisation needing funding for any purpose?

We Answered:

If, as other people have suggested, this is a scam then it's really not very funny. I work for a charity and volunteer with another charity and have done so for various charities all my working life -we constantly struggle for funding and ultimately people depend on the services we provide, not to mention the staff who we employ depend on us getting funding to pay them. scamming money out of Charity's is pretty immoral if you ask me!

If you genuinely have money to donate to UK charities you should get in touch with your local community foundation -they run small grants programmes and can distribute the funding in a more professional. formal and equitable way rather than using yahoo answers!!

Ted Said:

What steps do i need to take towards funding and organizing a student/ community organization?

We Answered:

Recycling things etc (I don't know if they provide funding) look for "ecoschools" http://www.eco-schools.org.uk/getting-st…
Their site might give you an idea of the things you need to do to get the ball rolling.
As for funding, perhaps take a look at what other local organisations are doing; look at local towns etc, ask questions and see if they can impart any wisdom, if not, you're still getting the word out there!
