I am considering joining the marines...?

We Answered:

Hello Ashley
It sounds like you are a pretty squared away young lady. You will have a great opportunity to possibley even earn your BA while in the Corps.. You will probably be deployed as well. Danger is always a possibility while you are in the Marines but if you pay attention to your training, you will be fine. No doubt Combat Photographer would be a good career choice for you. whether you do the 4 years active or decid on 8 or a career, you are on the right track. don't worry about the discipline, you will get plenty of it! ;-)

Good Luck!

semper Fidelis!

HYIP Funds that are actually paying?

We Answered:

Actually, I've been a day trader and investor for quite a few years. I find nothing fishy about 1% returns per day. My average return from my own non-hyip portfolio is 1 to 4% per day, net for the past 3 years.

I invest in only two HYIPS. One is called Solid Investment. I recommend thta people use a monitor to make sure HYIP's are paying. The most credible monitor I know is at:
http://www.goldrankings.com

My suggestion is to avoid any HYIP that pays out more than 5% per day. Those HYIPs tend to by PONZI schemes, not investment schemes.

Stock Traders: What is a trading shop or trading firm?

We Answered:

If you're looking to be a trading, it would be in your best interest to work for firms that have trading.

A trading shop is a firm that only does trading, either regular stock trading, market making or acting as floor specialist,
A trading firm is basically the same the type of firm.
Most trading firms do not do business with the general public, only other B/D's or institutions.

Why not trade for a mutual fund company?? They Buy & sell securities, yes for the firm's account but they still trade.
I know of mutual fund trader that trades at least a billion dollars and day, to me that's trading.

Trading experience is trading experience, don't understand why you would turn down the chance to get an education in something you like and get paid for it.

What is 'normal' (or 'operational') science? What is 'origins' science? Isn't evolution irrelevant?

We Answered:

to keep it short, if you worked for drug companies then you should already know that *evolution* is the EXACT reason why antibiotics are not as effective as they once were.

ever heard of the term 'drug reistant strain' of this or that?
