Ideas with fund raising for a non-profit organization?

We Answered:

I assume you mean other than getting pledges from family, friends, classmates, teachers, neighbours, etc.

Have a yard sale, bake sale, car wash, etc. Post signs everywhere and notify your local newspaper to let everyone know that the proceeds are going to the American Cancer Society. Tell them that your goal is to raise $XXXX and that only when you reach that level, your whole team will have their head shaved or dyed purple.

Good luck!

Melissa Said:

What non profit organizations are the most successful at online fund raising?

We Answered:

I am a Director with Tupperware and I specialize in Online Fundraisers where and organization can earn a 40% profit! I have helped many organizations, groups and individuals raise money for many different causes and they are all very pleased at the ease of the Tupperware Online Fundraiser.

A TupperConnectâ„¢ Fundraiser provides a solution for sellers who want to reach family and friends who they otherwise might not reach with a traditional fundraiser. Fundraiser buyers can view and purchase products to support the fundraiser, from the comfort of their home.

When you register an Online Tupperware Fund Raiser you will receive a special link to email to your friends, family and participants. You can share this link by email, post on a website or share with your friends and family on facebook, Twitter, MySpace or other social network websites.

What would I need to do to start my own non profit organization?

We Answered:

Obtaining your license will be the easy part. Have you considered how you would go about raising the money you would need to be able to acchieve your goals? Who would be your funders - that is, where would you go to for donations, grants, etc.? What do they require from an organization? Are there any other already established organizations in your area that already perform this service (such as churches, clubs and community organizations) and could you instead help them rather than starting a new organization that competes for funding?

You should try to put together a 'plan of attack' to address the problems you will face before spending any time and effort or money into setting up your own organization.

Anita Said:

Is it legal to pay a commission to a fundraiser from a non-profit organization?

Can Little League; a non-profit organization legally charge a mandatory fund raising fee?

We Answered:

yoo pal.. it depends on the nature of activities of the NGO.
the doner does not bother either is surplus or deficit on ur accounts.. yahhh u can charges nominial amounth so to avoid any deficit and saveing it for the upcomming future but it should be fully disclosed in the financial statements to the doners ....
ngo is basically for welfare activities and doners are getting exemption of tax against charatable donations.... so
at the end u can charge nominial amounth

Tom Said:

Can a non-profit organization force members to fund raise? And if they don't fund raise can they be charged?

We Answered:

No, non-profits can't force anyone to fundraise, nor can they charge people if they don't fundraise. In most instances, people who volunteer for non-profits, especially those who serve as members of the board of directors, are asked to raise money as well as donate their own money to help support the organization.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
