To fund or export arms to belligerent countries is not an act of war, however, it does open the possibilities of armed conflict from the opposing belligerents.

The fact that Iran is sending support of arms and supplies to forces that are NOT standing national armies, and are terrorist in nature, means that the Iranian government is committing state sponsored terrorism. Before you libs start screaming about US involvements in the past and present, I remind all of you that the nations of the Warsaw Pact sent arms and supplies to the Viet Cong as well as the North Vietnamese communist national army. Allies in formal treaties can supply allies. The opposite is supporting guerrilla warfare.

What Iran is doing is both criminal, terrorist, and is courting the wrath of the United States. We already have 1 bone to pick with the theocratic thugs in power. I sincerely wish the Iranian people had the will and guts to get rid of the mullahs and stand up for freedom and democracy before the clowns in power there invite the absolute worst to befall that country.

Not exactly. Yes, when you go to a hospital, they give you a form to sign that you are responsible for the costs. This means that if your insurance company refuses to pay, you can be charged.

But this is a civilized country and nobody bleeds to death on the steps of the ER. They are required to treat you, up to a point, whether you are able to pay or not. It doesn't mean you don't still owe. You can be sued and lose whatever you have. If you are homeless and destitute, then you don't have much to lose. But even if you have a crappy part-time job at McDonalds they can garnish your wages.

Also if you don't pay you are not covered by the government. The hospital must absorb the cost. And what they do is add it to the costs they charge people who -can- pay. Ever wonder why a Tylenol in the hospital costs $20? That's why.

One of the things that makes health care in the US so expensive is that poor people without insurance go to the Emergency Room for every little problem, because they have nowhere else to go, and because the law requires them to be treated. This care costs many time what it would cost to make a regular doctor's appointment, and we all pay for it.
